At present, the tasks that industrial robots need to complete are developing towards high-speed processing and precision processing, driving the demand for multi-functional, flexible and intelligent terminal tools. This involves the entire robot connection system, which must record and transmit numerous data points from the robot and its production environment as quickly as possible. The connection system not only requires fast data transmission, but its protection is also a prerequisite for the high reliability of the entire robot body.

Robot connections typically require protection class IP65/IP67, and M12-X coded or push-pull RJ45/ M12 Connector are often chosen as sensor interfaces. The traditional M12-X encoding and Rj45 Connector are relatively well-known and can be found in many industrial scenarios. There are many different modules suitable for different current ranges (4 A, 10 A, 16 A or 40 A). The efficient integration of these different modules significantly expands the use of sensors in robotic applications and enables trouble-free data transmission. Hybrid transmission solves the space problem first. Heavy-duty connections are popular for industrial robots that must operate in harsh working conditions. Surge protection in connections In addition to the extremely high requirements for transmission measurement, control and regulation of highly automated equipment,it is absolutely necessary to protect electronic components from overvoltage. Robot shutdowns due to overvoltage are commonplace in many manufacturing operations. To actively protect the various signals in a production system, the reference potential of the signal circuit must be determined and taken into account when selecting suitable protection devices. Therefore, it is still necessary to integrate overvoltage protection into the connector.The overvoltage protection module can optionally use multiple protection components such as gas discharge tubes, suppression diodes, and resistors. In the event of an overvoltage, the combination of these components can ensure the coordinated dissipation of disturbances. With additional overvoltage protection, the robot can significantly extend normal operating time. The costing is not difficult to calculate. Summary: When it comes to robot connections,we don`t have to worry too much about the high transmission rate and high bandwidth indicators that we think of. It is relatively easy to achieve these two points with the current connector level. How to achieve better connection effects in terms of connection protection, space saving, and high-density plugging and unplugging is even more difficult.
