IO-Link is a point-to-point serial communication protocol and is a low-cost communication interface technology for integrating traditional or smart sensors and actuators in automation systems. IO-Link follows the latest standard of IEC 61131-9. IO-Link is a point-to-point communication system, not a fieldbus! IO-Link supports COM 1 = 4.8 kbaud, COM 2 = 38.4 kbaud, COM 3 = 230.4 kbaud. The longest transmission distance of IO-Link is 20m.


IO-Link system consists of 3 parts: ①IO-Link master module (IO-Link Master) ②IO-Link device/slave module (IO-Link Devices/Hub) ③IO-Link cables (IO-Link Cables) Among them, IO-Link devices include on-site sensors and actuators, which have their own IO-Link interfaces; if the on-site sensors and actuators do not have IO-Link functions, IO-Link Hub can also be installed on these sensors and actuators to facilitate They are IO-Link capable. The IO-Link cable is a standard 3- or 4-conductor cable. The IO-Link master module has one or several IO-Link interfaces, and each IO-Link device/slave module is connected to an IO-Link interface through a cable.
